6 hot cross buns 
6 chocolate-covered marshmallow eggs 
6 – 12 regular marshmallows 
2 slabs of plain chocolate


  1. Place the hot cross buns on a bread board and carefully slice each one in half lengthways. 
  2. On each of the bottom halves of the hot cross buns, place one chocolate-covered marshmallow egg, followed by a regular marshmallow. You can also place 1 to 3 blocks of plain chocolate on top of the marshmallow, according to taste. 
  3. Top with the cross part of the hot cross buns, and then either place your s’mores under the grill or over the coals on a braai, until the chocolate has melted. 
  4. Remove your s’mores from the heat (carefully) and enjoy!
