Chilli Beef

    With ingredients that go incredibly far, beef wrap recipes are great for parties or next-day leftovers. Don’t feel limited to wraps - the mince sauce is very versatile and can be served with anything from plain bread to nachos and pasta.

  • Ingredients:

    2 onions, chopped
    2 carrots, chopped
    2 celery sticks, chopped
    1 tbsp. olive oil
    1 kg beef mince
    65 g Rhodes Tomato Paste

    1 can (410 g) Rhodes Mexican Style Tomato, Onion and Green Pepper
    1 can (410 g) Rhodes Butter Beans in Brine
    Salt and coarsely ground black pepper

    1 can (410 g) Rhodes Red Speckled Sugar Beans in Brine, drained
    Soft flour tortillas or wraps
    Coriander leaves

  • Method:

    1. Fry the onions, carrots and celery together in the oil until soft.
    2. Add the mince and fry for a further 5 minutes or until the mince has browned.
    3. Add the tomato paste and Rhodes Mexican Style. Simmer for 30 minutes.
    4. Add the butter beans with its brine and drained red speckled sugar beans. Season to taste and simmer for another 10 minutes.
    5. Heat the tortillas according to the instructions on the packet, fill with the mince mixture, add some coriander leaves to taste and serve.
